Pastor Sherry Grant was born on December 12, 1972 in Baltimore , Maryland to Bishop Carroll & Pastor Muriel Johnson. She was nicknamed "Wild Child", by a family friend because she didn't mind going out there and playing football and basketball with the fellas. After all, growing up and playing with her two brothers Keith and Duane and the rest of the guys in the neighborhood made her tough enough to handle what other girls couldn't.
Coming from a legacy of preachers, Pastor Sherry is walking in her destiny. A creative and talented young woman of God, her mission is to challenge you, to provoke you to change, to inspire you and to uncover the strongholds of the enemy within the Body of Christ. Her ministry style is anointed, yet unique as she often uses theatrical elements to get her message across.
With a passion for souls, Pastor Sherry began her training in ministry at an early age under the guidance of spiritual giants like her Grandfather, Elder Carroll Johnson Sr., Bishop Alfred Reaves, her Great Grandmother Ev. Geneva Turner, Apostle Cornelius Showell and her parents Bishop Carroll & Pastor Muriel Johnson. She has been a student of the Maximum Life Biblical School of Studies and has served faithfully for over a decade as the MLCC Praise & Worship Leader. There is not one ministry in the church that Pastor Sherry has not worked faithfully in.
In 1990, she met the love of her life Tony Grant while attending Morgan State University . They married in 1994 and God has truly blessed them with some super anointed and gifted children. Christopher, 16, Drew 12, and Jewel 5 are all workers in the house of the Lord and God has only begun to unfold the call He has on their lives.
Pastor has also been blessed to write and produce over 2 dozen stage-plays including "Preacher's Kids" The Play which toured nationally for over one year. She has worked with celebrities like John Witherspoon, Debbie Winans, and Beyonce, just to name a few. Pastor Sherry is a down to earth, loving and compassionate person who go tono end to get the message of Jesus Christ to a dying world. Similar to Malcolm X, her motto for ministry is "By any means necessary."
